Terms of Service
- Dimeleaf is a record-keeping tool. It does not hold your money, connect to your bank or give financial advice.
- Your data is yours. You can export it and delete your account at any time.
- Premium is billed by the App Store or Google Play and renews automatically until you cancel it there.
- Only an adult can create an account and own a space. Children join only by invitation from a parent or guardian.
1. Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and Dimeleaf, Indonesia ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the Dimeleaf apps, the web version and https://dimeleaf.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who can use Dimeleaf
- To create an account, own a space or buy a subscription, you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- Children under 13 may not use Dimeleaf. A minor aged 13 or older may use Dimeleaf only as a member invited by their parent or legal guardian, usually with the "Child" role. The parent or guardian consents to that use and is responsible for it.
- You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so by applicable law.
3. Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google or Apple. Keep access to your email and devices secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. What Dimeleaf is, and is not
- Dimeleaf helps you record and understand money you manage elsewhere. We are not a bank, payment service, lender or investment adviser. We do not hold, move or invest money, and "pay" actions in the app only record a payment you made yourself.
- Balances, reports, "safe to spend" figures, insights and reminders are based on what you and your members enter. They may be incomplete or wrong. They are for information only and are not financial, tax or legal advice.
- The AI receipt scanner can misread receipts. Always check the result before you save it.
5. Family spaces
- A space has one owner. The owner decides who is invited, assigns roles (Adult, Child, Viewer) and can remove members. Roles control what each member can see and do (see the Privacy Policy).
- Content added to a shared space is visible to its members according to their roles, and it stays in the space if you leave it or delete your account. The exception is your private wallets in that space: they and their own transactions are deleted when you leave, are removed, hand over ownership or delete your account. Transfers between them and shared wallets stay in the shared wallet as income or expense, so shared balances do not change.
- Only invite people who want to join, and only add information about others, such as names in debt records, if you are allowed to.
- Before an owner with members can delete their account, they must transfer ownership to an adult member.
6. Free plan and Premium
- Free includes the core features with limits: 3 wallets, 3 budgets, 1 active savings goal, 5 custom categories and 1 space. We may adjust these limits, but existing data will not be deleted because of a change.
- Premium unlocks the features described in the app. These include up to 3 spaces, inviting up to 5 members per space, unlimited wallets, budgets and goals, recurring transactions and bill reminders, receipt photos and AI scanning (with fair-use limits, currently 15 scans per day and 200 per month per subscription, shared by all spaces the owner has and their members), and export.
- Premium belongs to the space owner and covers the spaces they own. If it ends, members of those spaces can still view the data but cannot add or edit until Premium is active again. Nothing is deleted.
- Billing: Premium is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and is charged to your store account. The price in your currency is shown before you buy.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel in your store account settings. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trials and offers, if offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end unless cancelled in time. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.
- If we change the price, the store will notify you in advance where required, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
7. Invite codes
You can share your invite code with friends. Invite codes do not guarantee any reward. Any promotion connected to them will be described separately, may change or end, and may be withdrawn if it is abused, for example through fake accounts or self-referral.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use the Service for fraud, money laundering or to deceive others;
- harass other members or upload unlawful or offensive content;
- try to access data that is not yours, probe or disrupt our systems, or get around limits and security;
- reverse engineer the apps except where the law allows it;
- send spam invitations;
- resell the Service, or access it with bots or scrapers.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you enter or upload ("your content"). You give us a limited, worldwide licence to host, store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide the Service to you and your members. The licence ends when your content is deleted, apart from retention described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to add it.
10. Our rights
The Service, including its software, design, names and logos, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the apps for your personal, non-commercial use under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
11. Third-party services
Some functions rely on third parties, such as Apple, Google, the app stores, RevenueCat and our AI provider. Their own terms may apply to you, and we are not responsible for their services.
12. Changes and availability
We continuously improve Dimeleaf and may add, change or remove features. We try to keep the Service available, but it may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We will give reasonable notice before discontinuing the Service as a whole and a way to export your data.
13. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms or the law. Where appropriate we will give notice and a chance to export data first. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as 9 to 11 and 14 to 17, survive termination.
14. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. These include merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that calculations, reminders or AI results will be error-free or that the Service will be uninterrupted.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings, data or goodwill, including financial decisions made based on the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or wilful misconduct, or removes rights you have as a consumer.
16. Indemnity
If you misuse the Service or break these Terms or the law, and this results in a third-party claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses, to the extent permitted by law.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. We will first try to resolve any dispute informally: please contact [email protected], and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If that does not work, disputes will be settled by the competent district court at our domicile in Indonesia. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring claims in your local courts where the law allows it.
18. Additional terms for the Apple App Store
If you downloaded Dimeleaf from the Apple App Store:
- these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content;
- your licence is limited to using the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for handling claims relating to the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, privacy and intellectual-property claims;
- you confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or on a US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
19. General
If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms are available in English and Indonesian. For users in Indonesia the Indonesian version prevails if the two differ; otherwise the English version prevails.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required sooner by law. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
